The symbolism of our logo

Our logo is inspired by the traditional canoe of Zamboanga, the vinta, with its colourful sails. Today vintas can be seen mostly during the Regatta de Zamboanga in October. The dynamic sails and the lively colours show our desire to make HTO into a joyful home for orphans and street children. Like any other sailing boat, the vinta is driven by an unseen power, the wind. This reminds us of our main driver, the “Spirit of God, hovering over the waters”. It equally symbolizes our supporters and donors who “blow wind into our sails”.
